Islamic Studies & Qur'an Teacher

​Job Description
Seeking an Islamic Studies and Qur'an teacher, who seeks Allah's Pleasure by serving as a role-model, for our organization’s afterschool program, Lantern AfterSchool (LAS). The program is for children 5 years and older.

Location: 
TBD- Lawrenceville, Trenton and/or Yardley


Start Date: 
January 2017


Position Responsibilities
- Availability 3 evenings per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 5:30pm – 7:30pm)
- Teach Morals and Manners (Akhlaaq wal Aadaab)
- Teach Islamic Beliefs (Aqeedah)
- Teach Prophetic Traditions (Hadith and Sunnah)
- Teach Fiqh (Salah, Wudu, etc.)
- Teach Duas
- Teach Islamic History
Note: Training and a comprehensive curriculum and will be provided to the teacher upon hiring.

Position Requirements
- Ability to speak English fluently
- Ability to work with children 5 years and older

Highly Desirable
- Experience connecting with, motivating, and working well with children in an educational setting
- Be a native English speaker

Salary: Commensurate based on experience and qualifications.

Administrator

Job Description:
Seeking an Administrator, who wishes to be part of an amazing sadaqah jaariya opportunity, for our organization’s afterschool program, Lantern AfterSchool (LAS). The program is for children 5 years and older.
Please note: This job may require travelling to other nearby locations as needed.

Location
TBD- Lawrenceville, Trenton and/or Yardley


Start Date: January 2017

Position Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day operations
- Order books and supplies
- Manage finances including collecting student fees and disbursing teacher compensation
- Send out communications to parents via email
- Act as a liaison between AfterSchool and masajid
- Organize activities for children
- Organize PTA meetings on a regular basis
- Help teachers with setting up classrooms if needed

Position Requirements:
- Ability to speak English fluently
- Ability to work with children and their parents

Highly Desirable:
- Able to connect with, motivate, and work well with children in the community
- Be a native English speaker

Salary:
